Come join us for our annual Woman’s surf club for 4 sessions throughout February. We will be at St Clair beach but this year we will head to Warrington beach, maybe even try Karitane beach when conditions are challenging at St Clair. No better way to learn or improve your surfing skills then in a group of supportive woman. We create a safe and friendly learning environment where you can grow your skill and love of surfing at your pace. All our lessons are coached by qualified instructors.
Outline:
Beach awareness, understanding the conditions waves/ wind/ rips / tides, staying safe at the beach.
Surfboard design and function, sea entry and correct surfboard handling.
Catching waves with correct body and hand positioning and how to stop your surfboard. How to safely move over broken waves with your surfboard.
Catching waves with paddling and learning the pop up to stand technique.
Standing surfing position and riding a wave for as long as possible.
Speed, acceleration and breaking.
Front side and back side turns Full Surfing Gear Provided but if you do have your own suit we ask for you to bring it.
